These terms apply to every use of Appir Search, the search app for Shopify stores offered by Appir B.V. (Brouwersgracht 126e, 1013 HA Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 94947627; VAT NL866946597B01), and to the demos and trials around it. Appir Search is offered to businesses only; by installing it you confirm that you act for a business.

Appir Search replaces the search results in your Shopify store with its own and adds a dashboard with search analytics. What each plan includes is listed on our website at the moment you subscribe. We improve the service continuously and may change features, as long as the core of your plan stays in place.

Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Uninstall the app before the trial ends and you pay nothing. After the trial, your plan continues as a paid subscription.

Search, Search Pro and Search AI are billed through Shopify, monthly or yearly, on your regular Shopify invoice, at the prices shown when you subscribe. Yearly billing costs 11 months for 12. Enterprise plans are agreed and invoiced separately. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance; they never apply to a period you already paid for.

Monthly plans can be cancelled every month; yearly plans run for the year you paid for. You cancel by uninstalling the app or changing your plan in the Shopify admin. When you uninstall, your store returns to Shopify's own search right away.

Your catalog, your store's settings and your shoppers' search and shopping behaviour remain yours. We process them only to run Appir Search for your store, on infrastructure in the EU. For your shoppers' personal data you are the controller and we act as your processor.

Our search learns from shopping behaviour across stores to rank better for everyone; it uses that behaviour only in anonymised form, and one store's data is never shared with another store.

When you uninstall, data collection stops and Shopify's privacy process has your store's data anonymised about two days later. Want everything deleted outright? Email remco@appir.nl and we remove it.

Do not use Appir Search in a way that breaks the law, harms others or disrupts the service, and do not copy, resell or reverse engineer it.

We work to keep Appir Search available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. If it is ever unavailable, your store falls back to its standard search, so shoppers can always search. Guaranteed availability (an SLA) is part of the Enterprise plan.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Appir Search in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost revenue. These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.

Appir Search, its software and its models belong to Appir. You receive the right to use it for your store for as long as your subscription runs.

We may change these terms. We announce material changes at least 30 days in advance by email or in the app; if you disagree, you can cancel before they take effect.

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. Questions about these terms: remco@appir.nl.
